Today is the 1st of September, which marks the first day of Spring in Australia. And what a beautiful day it was. I heard someone say that it was as though God flipped a switch and the weather turned from cold and wet to warm and sunny. The sky was blue, there was a slight breeze blowing and I was able to walk around in a light top with short sleeves. I am so glad that the winter is over and the warmer weather is on its way.
For lo, the winter is past,
The rain is over and gone.
The flowers appear on the earth;
The time of singing has come,
And the voice of the turtledove
Is heard in our land.
The fig tree puts forth her green figs,
And the vines with the tender grapes
